#alek art #zane julien #previous master of ice #ninjago #lego ninjago #2024 #aka the scene i wish we got in snake jaguar ...#zane is like 30 here #im mostly thinking about dr juliens perspective on this night. we have very little to go off of but he was very weirded out #random very sick old man shows up at your door and takes an “interest” in your son. he isnt even over for an entire day. with him comes col #he was striken with winter and something about him felt off. he leaves without a word. after his arrival your son begins acting weird.#then another old man arrives. asking for your son. wonder what happened there #for anything about passing on powers or losing them its always some big event... hm #i think the previous master really did need shetler. we know he was old and died shortly after the power giving. i dont know what about #zane caught his eye. i do think its very interesting that this man of few words was so obviously fascinated that dr julien noticed.#dr julien isnt the most socially aware and in the little bit he said about the previous master... he sounded concerned #imagine weirding out the weirdest man alive #i think zane caught on too. he felt eyes on him the entire night. they ate dinner with the man.. gave him shelter... but he felt he wanted #more. sometime that day he gave zane the power of ice. which effectively changed the course of his entire life. zane and dr julien hadnt a #clue what happened. 'yesterday a man arrived' so not even within a day did he see zane and decide that he was the one #thinking about how zane acting like his self now is 'strange' and was out of the ordinary. what was he like before? how do you even pass a #power down. we see people get their powers stolen and its always a spectacle and its so exhausting and so on. how did dr julien not see #anything. there was no questions? he just noticed the previous master found his son interesting and then he left ?#goddddd im insane i wanna write a fic about zane pre series

the craziest part of dinner at ravenloft (and the whole curse of strahd campaign in general) is how frequently my players/the PCs manage to get out of situations just by out-autisming me.

like Strahd is trying to be all dramatic while dancing with the cleric and she just goes, "So, what's your favorite animal?" and when he says "Bats" (obviously) she just STARTS LISTING BAT FACTS???

I have FINISHED A CHAPTER and it did NOT take me a month, this is great

#the aggressive outlining session I had last week is actually helping so much #I am probably going to start on the next after dinner to have it started but for now I am going to chill cuz I deserve it #I do still have eight chapters left and I ammmm a little worried about how long this is gonna be (whomst is surprised) but #that's fine cuz it's moving a lot faster now #and also I've already got portions of it written and others that are really clear to me what's happening in them #really I just gotta get through these next two chapters and then get really weird with it #AND then I can do some severe editing cuz I'm sure a lot of the middle will need to be tightened #megs is writing

Do you have any plan to make some kind of bonus chapter or oneshot about marcille's perspective in little creature? It's not like I'm asking you for it ofc!! it's just that i think it'll be interesting to read, and especially since you had those tags about marcille after her fight/outburst with falin and how you couldn't add it to the fic because the fic is from falin's perspective

Probably not about anything that happens during a little creature, but maybe something before or after? Sometimes I do like to do "the other character thinking back to events while doing stuff in a sequel" oneshot type thing, but we'll see how it shakes out!

#and then you barely see him for the rest of the game #the sinking city #coolhatposts #man i would have loved to be able to visit johannes's house! maybe you go there to discuss a case or catch up or whatever #i can totally see a dramatic parlor scene playing out that could give a lot more foundation for future story events #and maybe you can just visit his place sometimes and read philosophy books or something. maybe he rotates a couple books out for charles #on a table or smth and you can go read it #or maybe it's excerpts from lovecraft!!#GOD you guys do you see what i mean there's so much to add to the game #Johannes is fascinating as a character but then we only see him like. three times max #and at least one of those times he's probably dead #i just think it makes sense for charles to seek company with the only person he knows in the city a couple times before the plot starts #picking up. i could see maybe they have two or three dinners/drinks with Important Conversations #but i do think it's a wasted opportunity not to have johannes be more involved. he's the player's window into the upper class weird shit #in oakmont. he's our connection to a secret society and he knows graham and i would bet money he knew about the cannibal restaurant #GOD as soon as I'm done w the project I'm working on I'm gonna be replaying and writing SO MUCH you guys #never been a writer before but I'll make it happen #the possibilities are too cool to ignore #please please please someone else start posting abt tsc I KNOW YOU GUYS ARE THERE. jay not asking coach about letting lonnie onto the team bc he doesn’t want to do anything coach might disagree with…….
